FAQ

Q: Who do I contact to book my cabin on the cruise?

A: Travel Themes and Dreams can be reached through the cruise website or by calling 1(866) 391-2680.

Q: Who do I contact to find out more about the ship itself and any special off-ship excursions I may want to take?

A: Again, Travel Themes and Dreams can handle all of your needs and arrangements – from host hotel booking, the cruise, any excursions you’d like to take at the ports of call. They make everything easy!

Q: Who do I contact if I have questions about the dance portion of the cruise?

A: Please write to USA Dance Social Dance Vice President Jean Krupa at social-vp@usadance.org.

Q: My spouse (or traveling companion) doesn't dance, will they enjoy the dance and cruise ship activities?

A: Absolutely! The Star Princess is a grand ship with something for everyone! Check out their website at www.princess.com and find the section for Star Princess – you’ll find spas, casinos, pools, clubs, shopping, fitness centers, lots of restaurants, shows, performances, club dancing and activities for all ages, every day.

Q: I've never been on a dance cruise before, why would this cruise be a good first choice?

A: Whether you are a Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced level dancer, you have definitely picked the right cruise! The workshops—which will feature QuickStep, Tango, Fox-Trot, Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, Swing, Hustle, West Coast, Bolero and Salsa—are taught by the country’s top instructors. You’ll learn new steps and techniques while having fun with your fellow USA Dance members.

Q: When can I sign up for the classes?

A: Pre-registration will be offered at the beginning of 2012. You’ll be contacted by Travel Themes and Dreams once the workshop schedule is finalized. Also, watch the USA Dance website for updates.

Q: Do I need to bring a dance partner on the cruise?

A: Dance partners are not required and we expect a good mix of leaders and followers. There will also be a Dance Host program offered. But, please tell all of your USA Dance friends about this exciting cruise. Bring them all!

Q: Can I book the cruise through my own travel agent or directly myself?

A: No. All bookings for the USA Dance Cruise to Alaska must go through Travel Themes and Dreams.

Q: What will the weather be like in mid-July in Alaska?

A: Sunny and cool is what to expect. Temperatures range from 50-64 during this time of the year. So don’t forget the sweaters! There are also helpful notes on the cruise line website, www.princess.com.
